Privacy policy

Trove is a small, shared link collection. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts.

What is public

Links submitted to trove — including their titles, tags, and notes — are public. They are stored in an append-only log kept in version control, so submissions (and later edits to them) remain in the public history even after removal from the site.

What stays in your browser

• Ratings (❤️/♠️) are stored only in your browser's localStorage. They are never sent anywhere.
• Sign-in credentials are stored in your browser's localStorage, and are embedded in the bookmarklet if you drag it to your bookmarks bar while signed in. They are sent only to trove to authenticate submissions.

What is logged

Submissions are recorded with the submitting username. The site is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (IP addresses, requested pages) per Netlify's privacy policy.
